imageCLASS D660/D661 Printer Driver v1.0 for Windows 98
Important: 
If you have the imageCLASS D600 Series Drivers currently installed on your 
computer,
please uninstall them prior to installation of this new driver. 
imageCLASS D600 - Windows XP - Uninstallation Instructions 
1. Make sure the computer is turned OFF. 
2. Be sure the COPIER/PRINTER IS POWERED OFF. 
3. DISCONNECT the USB or Parallel (LPT) cable from the printer and computer.
4. POWER ON YOUR COMPUTER. 
5. Log in as the Administrator.
6. Select Start, Programs, Canon PC1200 iC D600 iR1200G, Canon PC1200 iC D600 
iR1200G Uninstallation. 
7. At the "Canon PC1200/iC D600/iR1200G Uninstallation" dialog, select OK. 
8. At the "Canon PC1200/iC D600/iR1200G Uninstallation - Click on OK to restart" 
dialog, select OK. 
imageCLASS D600 - Windows XP - Installation Instructions 
1. Download IC_D600_98_v10.exe. 
2. Double-click IC_D600_98_v10.exe. (Follow the prompts to the conclusion of 
this installer.)
3. POWER OFF YOUR COMPUTER. 
4. Connect the USB or Parallel (LPT) cable to the printer and computer.
5. Connect the Power Cord to the printer.
6. POWER ON YOUR COMPUTER. 
For Parallel (LPT) cable installation, complete step 6 , then proceed to step 
12.
For USB cable installation, continue at step 7 and complete all of the 
installation steps.
8. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - Windows driver file search for the device: 
Canon CAPT USB Printer." dialog, select Next. 
9. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - What do you want Windows to do?" dialog, 
select Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended). Then select 
Next. 
Deselect... 
1. Removable Media (Floppy, CD-ROM...)
Select... 
1. Specify a location: 
2. In the box below, type C:\Temp\IC_D600_98_v10 
3. Select Next 
10. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - Windows driver file search for the device: 
Canon CAPT USB Printer." dialog, select Next. 
11. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - Canon CAPT USB Printer." dialog, select 
Finish.
Parallel (LPT) Installation - Continue here.. 
12. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - This wizard searches for new drivers for: 
Canon PC1200/iC D600/iR1200G" dialog, select Next.
13. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - What do you want Windows to do?" dialog, 
select Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended). Then select 
Next 
14. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog,
Deselect... 
1. Floppy disk drives
2. CD-ROM drive
3. Microsoft Windows Update
Select... 
1. Specify a location: 
2. In the box below, type C:\Temp\IC_D600_98_v10 
3. Select Next 
15. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard - Windows driver file search for the device: 
Canon PC1200/iC D600/iR1200G." dialog, select Next.
16. At the "Add Printer Wizard - Printer name:" dialog, select Finish.
17. At the "Canon PC1200/iC D600/iR1200G Installation" dialog, select OK.
18. At the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog, select Finish.
