For more than 70 years, the Canon name has been globally synonymous with excellence, thanks to the pairing of cutting-edge product ideas and innovative manufacturing methods. In 1985, the Canon name took on new significance in the United States when Canon opened their American manufacturing facility —Canon Virginia, Inc.
With a highly skilled employee base and state-of-the-art equipment all under our one-million-square-foot roof, Canon Virginia has not only lived up to the Canon name but also created a name for itself. As Canon's domestic manufacturing facility, Canon Virginia has manufactured millions of Canon copiers, printers, and cartridges. We continue to manufacture cartridges and other Canon accessories, as well as provide reverse manufacturing services for Canon copiers, printers, and cameras.
In solving Canon’s own growing manufacturing needs, Canon Virginia has also created a new opportunity: Contract Manufacturing. Since opening our doors to outside business in 2005, Canon Virginia has become the contract manufacturer of choice for a major business computing company, tooled multi-cavity molds for manufacturers large and small, and signed reverse-logistics contracts. In doing so, we have leveraged Canon's core capabilities every step of the way, ensuring the reliability of world-class quality, global reach and efficiency representative of the Canon name.
1985 Canon Virginia, Inc. is formed.
