Technology innovation is progressing every day. Globally, Canon is never satisfied with its current achievements and is always promoting research and development in collaboration with other research organizations and utilizing knowledge across the world.
At Canon Virginia, our research and development efforts focus on manufacturing processes, equipment and design. To further our research and development partnerships, CVI became an organizing member of the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) in 2011. This group is a partnership of industry leaders and state universities that will conduct original research to solve manufacturing issues. CCAM’s collaborative and creative approach to advance manufacturing techniques will not only make the Commonwealth a leader in this arena, but will help equip Canon Virginia with some of the latest manufacturing technologies.
Canon Virginia’s research and development team is also working with certain other Canon affiliates in the Americas to help finalize product design prior to manufacturing. Working collaboratively helps to ensure continued growth and development, while creating competitive products through powerful design and manufacturing technologies.
